President of the Shanghai Federation of Food Safety
Zhenhua Gu is President of the Shanghai Federation of Food Safety. He earned a master's degree in social medicine and health economics from Shanghai Medical University. He is mainly engaged in public health and food safety supervision. Since 1973, he has worked in the Health and Epidemic Prevention Station of Shanghai, Shanghai Municipal Health Inspection, Shanghai Food Safety Committee Office and the Shanghai Food and Drug Administration. Gu also served as a deputy director of the Shanghai Food Safety Committee Office and the Shanghai Food and Drug Administration. He is also a member of the National Food Safety Standards Review Board and Chair of the Food-Related Products Sub-Committee. He is also a part-time professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Normal University.
