Education and Training: An Essential Prerequisite for Food Safety
Beijing, 20 October 2020 – The Walmart Food Safety Collaboration Center hosted the 3rd annual Global Food Safety Governance Forum and launched the Food Safety Knowledge Hub to advance science-backed food safety knowledge. Food safety experts, business leaders, and industry association representatives from China and around the world gathered to share insights into advancing food safety despite the added challenges of the global pandemic. Across the diverse projects and partners, co-governance, cross-disciplinary collaboration and effective communication emerged as keys to addressing today’s most pressing food safety challenges. The forum was attended by around 150 guests, both in-person and virtually, representing key stakeholders from the China and global food safety community.
