"In the face of extensive negative and misleading information and rumors, it is important to strengthen food safety education among industry practitioners and consumers. Only by equipping people with the basic scientific knowledge of food safety can rumors be stopped from spreading. The Food Safety Knowledge Hub powered by the WFSCC is a meaningful initiative, as experts and industry professionals can leverage this platform to exchange and disseminate scientific food safety information."
  • President of the Shanghai Federation of Food Safety

"Construct a food safety social governance platform, exchange scientific food safety knowledge, improve social awareness."
  • Director of the Special Food Research Center at China Agricultural University

"The dissemination of food safety knowledge is an important part of food safety governance. It is also of great significance to improve the scientific literacy of the public, improve people's well-being and maintain social stability."
  • President of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology

"With its international perspective and approach to food safety, the Walmart Food Safety Collaboration Center draws on global best practices to jointly work on the pressing issues facing China’s food industry. Their non-profit work truly demonstrates that 'enterprises take the primary responsibility for food safety.'"
  • Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Institute of Nutrition and Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention

"The Food Safety Knowledge Hub is a new initiative from the Walmart Food Safety Collaboration Center, with the goal of creating an influential online food safety resource platform in China. In particular, it aims to share global food safety knowledge and best practices with both the F&B industry, and related sectors. This initiative has the capacity to generate real social benefits and far-reaching impact."

"Regarding food safety, the field is moving so fast that it is critical to create filters or knowledge hubs to provide the best and latest ideas. Never has food safety -- and the related topics of food fraud, food defense, and the continuous supply of food -- been more important. Collaborations such as the Food Safety Knowledge Hub provide the best chance for all of us to protect and expand the supply of safe food."
  • Executive Director of the UCLA Law Resnick Center for Food Law & Policy and Professor from Practice

"I am honored to be part of the Food Knowledge Hub organized by the WFSCC. I am really impressed with it and the important roles it plays. In addition to disseminating accurate, science-based information about food, the Hub brings together government and industry on a single platform to explore how this information and best practices in governance can improve food safety policy. In short, I am confident that over time the Hub will serve as the fulcrum for smart, food-safety policy making in China and elsewhere."
